A Great City Conference - Work Hard! Play Hard!

A welcome change to the perhaps over exposed waterfront hotels, Taj Cape Town understands the importance of balancing BUSINESS and PLEASURE.
Situated in the cultural heart of the historic Old City, the Taj Cape Town is a combination of rich history and elegant contemporary architecture. Originally home to the South African Reserve Bank and Temple Chambers, later the Board of Executors (BOE), it combines the heritage of the old with the luxury of the new. Taj Cape Town is ideally located in the centre of historic Cape Town at the entrance to the famous pedestrian precinct, St George’s Mall and is perfectly situated for those looking to discover authentic Cape Town; and its blend of fascinating history, exotic culture, soulful art, lively entertainment, delectable cuisine and our world class meeting facilities will ensure that your stay in Cape Town is efficient, productive and memorable.

The first floor of the BoE building, with its large sash windows looking out on St George’s Cathedral, the Company Gardens and the Provincial Legislature, houses the banqueting and meeting rooms. As well as providing exceptional views, the windows allow in ample natural light. The magnificent interiors are another throwback to a bygone era when these rooms hosted meetings of the Reserve Bank and BoE. They have been restored to their original opulence, which is now complemented by state-of-the-art technology.

There are eight meeting rooms, the largest of which is able to comfortably host a banquet for 110 guests. Two others can accommodate up to sixty delegates each. Two smaller rooms can seat 30 or 50 people respectively. In addition there are two boardrooms and a business centre.

On the guest floors the 166-room Taj Cape Town offers selection of room types. These include a two-bedroom, split-level Presidential Suite and 10 Heritage Suites. Within the restored historic buildings there are 20 Heritage Luxury rooms, with mountain views and a further 10 overlooking the city. The 17 new floors accommodate rooms with panoramic views of Table Mountain or the City. All the Tower rooms have a walk-out balcony.
