Airlink takes over Johannesburg // Vilancoulos (Mozambique) flight route
Many passengers have been concerned that Fed Air have withdrawn from the Johannesburg // Vilancoulos, Mozambique route.
The GOOD NEWS for 2013 is that SAA AIRLINK has now gained authority to take the route which will operate under an SAA flight code. This is good news as passengers travelling from most key markets will be able to interline luggage direct to Vilancoulos and get boarding passes for all sectors on check in!
Vilanculos is the gateway to the tropical Bazaruto Archipelago. Indigo Bay is perhaps the most well know resort.
Airlink will fly 3 times per week from 22 March 2013 and 5 times per week from 31 July 2013

In other news SAA Airlink has also announced it will be introducing a Johannesburg / Kasane, Botswana route.
The town of Kasane is the gateway to the Chobe lodges in Botswana and just 1hr 30minutes road transfer from Victoria Falls. One could also charter into the Okavango from Kasane.
Airlink will fly 4 times per week from 22 March 2013 and daily from 31 July 2013
